The story of a Korean who met again in Korea and repaid a local woman who had helped this person in Da Nang two years ago has been made public.
According to Vietnam's VNExpress and other local outlets on the 6th, a Vietnamese woman named Ngoc Anh recently visited Korea and met the Korean who had helped handle a traffic accident two years ago.
A, a Korean, was in a scooter accident in Da Nang, Vietnam, in 2024. A's injuries were minor, but a friend suffered a broken arm. With no language skills or local connections and struggling with what to do, the Vietnamese woman Anh appeared.
Anh immediately took A's group to a hospital so they could receive treatment. She also helped handle the aftermath, including keeping the scooter involved in the crash at her home. She later even helped negotiate the repair costs for the damaged scooter.
A, who stayed behind in Vietnam while the friend returned home first for surgery, kept in touch with Anh. Anh and her family invited A to dinner and went together to a fireworks festival, building memories together.
Afterward, A said would return the favor if Anh visited Korea for a trip, but there was no particular news for the next two years.
Their connection picked up again when Anh began planning a trip to Korea early this year. Remembering the promise with A, Anh cautiously reached out, and A replied right away.
Anh said, "It took me some time before I sent the text," and noted, "Until right before the meeting time, I worried about whether the person would really show up."
Contrary to Anh's worries, when they met in Korea, A treated Anh and friends to meals and guided them around downtown Seoul.
Anh said, "I felt that my goodwill was not in vain," and added, "I'm happy just to meet again as friends like this."
