National table tennis team member Shin Yoo-shin donated 100 million won worth of rice for the underprivileged.
Dangjin, South Chungcheong, said on Apr. 6 that player Shin Yu-bin bought rice with a 100 million won donation to the "Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign Help Neighbors" and delivered it to underprivileged residents in the area.
With this donation, 3,125 10-kilogram sacks of rice will be delivered to the city's eup, myeon and dong Community Service Centers and social welfare facilities for use by the underprivileged.
In Dec. 2025, Shin Yu-bin visited the Dangjin Gymnasium and donated 100 million won at the "2nd National Youth Table Tennis Festival with Shin Yu-bin and Dangjin." Earlier, in Oct. 2024, Shin also donated 100 million won through Dangjin and Suwon, Gyeonggi, bringing the total to 200 million won.
In Sep. 2024, Shin Yu-bin was selected as an advertising model for Dangjin Hae-naru Rice, and the cumulative YouTube views of the Hae-naru Rice commercial video surpassed 13 million.
A Dangjin official said, "Thanks to Shin Yu-bin advertising Hae-naru Rice, 15,000 tons were sold last year, 1,260 tons more than in 2024," adding, "We will continue to enhance the brand value of Hae-naru Rice."
