The Seoul city government said on the 2nd that all six lanes of Sejong-daero (Gwanghwamun three-way intersection to Sejong-daero four-way intersection) will be fully closed on the 4th for the "2026 Easter parade."
In addition, on the same day, one lane on Saemunan-ro toward the government complex intersection will be controlled at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Two lanes from the government complex intersection toward Gyeongbokgung Station intersection and Gwanghwamun three-way intersection will be unavailable from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
On the day of the event, some bus routes passing Sejong-daero will be detoured. City bus stops within the affected section will be closed. Accordingly, people traveling to the Jongno and Gwanghwamun areas must get off at nearby stops and use the subway or walk.
The Seoul city government urged the public to check detour routes in advance, such as by referring to detour notices posted at bus stops and inside city buses.
Meanwhile, a total of 40 teams and more than 8,000 people are expected to take part in this year's Easter parade, offering a variety of attractions including parade and street performances.
