A car driven by an octogenarian crashed into a restaurant near Apgujeong Station in Gangnam District, Seoul, injuring four people.
According to police on the 30th, at about 3 p.m. on the 27th, the car of A, a woman in her 80s, sped into a restaurant on an alley near Apgujeong Station in Gangnam District.
A police investigation found that A's car suddenly accelerated in reverse and rammed into the restaurant, then moved forward and collided with a car in front.
Two Koreans and two foreigners inside the restaurant suffered minor injuries in the crash.
No signs of alcohol or drugs were found for A.
Police booked A on suspicion of injury under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Settlement of Traffic Accidents, and the exact cause of the crash is under investigation.
