The wheels of an imported passenger car parked in a lot in Incheon have gone missing, and police have launched an investigation.
The Incheon Seobu Police Station said on the 30th that it is tracking two suspects who stole and fled with the wheels of an imported passenger car.
They are suspected of stealing the wheels of a BMW that had been parked at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium parking lot in Seo-gu, Incheon, on the 19th–24th.
Recently, an online community posted a photo and a message that said, "After a car accident, I parked my vehicle at the Incheon Asiad Stadium parking lot for five days to look for a cheap repair shop, and someone stole the wheel tires."
Police are currently investigating based on the victim's statement and tips from wheel and tire companies.
At about 7 p.m. on the 29th, the Seobu Police Station also received a report of wheel theft from a high-end SUV (sport utility vehicle) at the Gyeongin Ara Waterway parking lot in Seo-gu and has begun an investigation.
A police official said, "We have identified two suspects in the BMW wheel theft and are pursuing them," adding, "We are also investigating the SUV theft case and plan to look into any links between the two incidents."
