Kim Sang-hwan, president of the Constitutional Court, reported assets of 2.19 billion won as of the end of last year.
The Constitutional Court on Mar. 26 disclosed the regular changes in assets as of Dec. 31 last year for senior officials affiliated with the court, including constitutional justices.
The apartment in Jamwon-dong, Seocho District, Seoul, owned by President Kim and spouse, was valued at 1.64 billion won. There is also a 400 million won jeonse right for an apartment in Haengdang-dong, Seongdong District, Seoul, under President Kim's name.
President Kim's assets decreased by 450 million won from the previous year. The reason was reporting 1.58 billion won as a rental deposit (debt) for the Jamwon-dong apartment jointly with the spouse.
The average assets of the nine constitutional justices, including President Kim and Justices Kim Hyeong-du, Jeong Jeong-mi, Jeong Hyeong-sik, Kim Bok-hyeong, Cho Han-chang, Jeong Gye-seon, Ma Eun-hyeok, and Oh Young-jun, are 2.46 billion won.
Justice Oh Young-jun has the most assets at 4.19 billion won. Justice Kim Bok-hyeong has the least at 870 million won.
