The Seoul city government decided to grant special leave to civil servants who were deployed to manage BTS's comeback concert held around Gwanghwamun Square on the 21st.
The city said on the 25th that it would grant special leave for top performers to encourage employees who were deployed to the BTS concert.
Those eligible are civil servants who were deployed for order maintenance and safety management during the event. The city mobilized a total of about 3,400 people for the park. Of these, civil servants (including government service workers) number about 2,000, including about 200 each from Jongno District and Jung District. They may take one day off within two months from the end of the event.
Meanwhile, some noted that the city deployed an excessively large number of civil servants due to inaccurate crowd estimates for the BTS concert. Police expected up to 260,000 people to gather on the day of the event, but HYBE, the actual organizer, estimated that about 104,000 people gathered. That is less than half of the projection.
