Prosecutors moved to support victims in connection with the Daejeon Anjeon Industrial fire, which left 14 dead and 60 injured.
According to the Supreme Prosecutors' Office on the 25th, the Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office formed a victim support team of two prosecutors and three investigators in connection with the Daejeon Anjeon Industrial fire and set up a Prosecution Service counseling office within the Central Joint Disaster Victim Support Center.
The Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office victim support team met with families of the victims to identify needed support, then the previous day held a committee to review economic assistance, decided on financial support for the bereaved, and provided emergency living expenses that day.
The Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office said it would closely cooperate with the Ministry of Justice, the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, and the Central Joint Disaster Victim Support Center to ensure practical support for victims.
