At about 1:58 a.m. on the 22nd, a fire of unknown cause broke out at a resource circulation facility in Seonnam-myeon, Seongju-gun, North Gyeongsang Province, and fire authorities are working to put it out.
According to the North Gyeongsang Fire Headquarters and North Gyeongsang Province, the fire that began at the resource circulation facility's yard has spread to part of a nearby factory building. Authorities have deployed 64 personnel and 30 pieces of equipment to focus on extinguishing the main blaze.
So far, there have been no confirmed casualties.
Fire authorities said, "There are about 100 tons (t) of waste inside the resource circulation facility, so it will take considerable time to fully put out the fire," adding, "We plan to investigate the cause of the fire after extinguishment."
