A man in his 20s fell and died while working at a Celltrion factory.
According to police and fire authorities on the 22nd, a person in their 20s, identified as A, fell about 3 meters at 11:04 a.m. from a building at the Celltrion factory in Songdo-dong, Yeonsu District, Incheon. Found in cardiac arrest, A received CPR and other emergency treatment and was taken to a hospital but died.
A was reportedly working on a pipe leak from a panel installed in the first-floor ceiling when the panel broke, causing the accident.
Labor authorities issued a stop-work order at the site and plan to investigate the cause of the accident under laws including the Serious Accidents Punishment Act. Police also plan to question site officials on whether safety rules were followed.
