The group BTS said on the 21st after finishing its Gwanghwamun comeback performance, "This Gwanghwamun stage does not belong only to the seven of us in BTS," adding, "We will never take for granted the warm consideration with which you embraced our performance, and we will etch it deep in our hearts for a long time."
BTS finished "BTS The Comeback Live | ARIRANG" at 8 p.m. at Gwanghwamun Square and expressed thanks to police, firefighters, central and local government officials, and citizens.
BTS unveiled the first performance of new songs from its fifth studio album "Arirang," released the day before.
The members said, "We bow our heads in gratitude to the police, firefighters, and central and local government officials who embraced Gwanghwamun Square as our comeback stage and worked to ensure a safe performance without major incidents amid the large crowds."
They added, "We also sincerely apologize to and thank the citizens who endured inconveniences large and small, such as traffic controls and noise, as well as merchants and office workers in the Gwanghwamun area."
They said, "It was a stage completed by the hard work of those responsible for safety, the warm understanding of citizens, and the unwavering love of ARMY."
The members said, "We will not forget the great love and support you have given us, and we will create greater resonance and good music in BTS's journey ahead."
