TV personality Park Na-rae (41), who is facing allegations of power abuse against managers, appeared before police and is being questioned.
Seoul Gangnam Police Station said around 1 p.m. on the 20th that Park Na-rae is under investigation on charges including aggravated injury and defamation. Park was also questioned once on the 20th of last month on the same charges.
Two of Park Na-rae's former managers said they suffered power abuse, claiming they were verbally abused for "not drinking alcohol" and were injured after being hit by a glass, and filed a complaint with police against Park in December last year.
In response, Park Na-rae countersued the former managers on charges of attempted extortion and occupational embezzlement, and was said to have denied the related allegations during the police investigation. After finishing the first round of questioning, Park said in response to reporters' questions about the power abuse allegations, "We identified what was not true in the investigation and will correct it."
Meanwhile, alongside the power abuse allegations, controversy erupted that Park Na-rae received illegal medical procedures from an "injection aunt," and she has temporarily halted her broadcasting activities.
