An online community shared a story that a woman, after being called out for leaving a shopping cart in a parking space at a large mart in Cheonan, South Chungcheong, hurled severe profanity at the other party and a young child.
On the 16th, a post titled "A lady who abandoned a mart cart" was uploaded on the online community Bobae Dream.
Author A said, "I visited the mart for my 4-year-old son's culture center class and ran into a woman who was about to leave after pushing a cart carelessly into a parking space."
A asked the woman to "please put the cart back where it belongs." The woman replied, "Mart employees take care of it."
A said, "When I tried to take a photo to keep the abandoned cart as evidence, only then did (the woman) return the cart to its place," and added, "Afterward, the woman glared at me and my child and cursed, saying, 'You XXs, let's see how well you raise your kid XX.'"
Angered by the sudden verbal abuse, A wanted to protest but said the response was restrained out of consideration for the child nearby. A said, "I held back because I didn't want to show fighting in front of the child."
Afterward, A went to the mart's customer center to check the parking lot CCTV footage, but since the audio of the woman's profanity was not captured in the video, A has not found an appropriate way to respond.
