A man in his 50s who was crossing the barbed-wire fence of the civilian control line (CCL) in Paju, Gyeonggi, was caught. After climbing over the first fence, the man was detected by the military authorities while trying to cross the second fence.
The Gyeonggi Northern Police Agency said on the 17th that it booked a man in his 50s, identified as A, on suspicion of violating the Military Bases and Installations Protection Act and is questioning him. A was caught by the military authorities while climbing over a barbed-wire fence near Imjingak in Paju. A is known to have been apprehended after crossing the first fence and attempting to cross the second fence.
A, who was handed over to the police, is said to be refusing to make a statement.
