The second comprehensive special counsel team has launched a compulsory investigation into People Power Party lawmaker Yoon Han-hong in connection with the alleged presidential residence transfer.
According to legal sources on the 16th, the comprehensive special counsel began raids from the morning on Representative Yoon's home and other locations. The warrant reportedly applies the charge of abuse of authority.
Earlier, the Kim Keon-hee special counsel detected indications that Representative Yoon was involved in the process of moving the presidential residence to Hannam-dong in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, in 2022 when Yoon Suk-yeol's presidential transition committee was in place.
The raids that day were the first compulsory investigation since the comprehensive special counsel was launched.
