The Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO) reported to police three investigators in whom signs of misconduct were identified during an internal inspection.
According to legal sources on the 16th, the CIO recently reported to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency three investigators suspected of bid-related misconduct on bribery charges. The three are reportedly suspended from duty.
Earlier, on the 6th, the CIO identified signs of misconduct by four investigators through an internal inspection. Of these, the CIO sought a decision for severe disciplinary action for three from the Ministry of Personnel Management's Central Disciplinary Committee, and a decision for minor disciplinary action for the remaining one. The specific details of the misconduct have not yet been disclosed.
