YouTuber Tzuyang (real name Park Jeong-won), who was sued for false accusation by YouTuber Gu Jaeyeok (real name Lee June-hee), appeared before police as a suspect.
Daejeon Dunsan Police Station questioned Tzuyang as a suspect for about three hours from 1 p.m. on the 10th. After wrapping up the questioning, Tzuyang said, "There are so many claims that make no sense, and they are matters I can fully explain, so I told them exactly as it is."
An attorney for Tzuyang said, "Through this questioning, we confirmed the specifics of the complaint," adding, "There are parts that were refiled and parts that we believe should be dismissed." Tzuyang's side said it will submit a related opinion to police.
Earlier, Gu Jaeyeok's side filed a complaint for false accusation against Tzuyang and members of her agency, saying Tzuyang's side repeatedly filed false complaints. The thrust is that there was a series of false complaints claiming, among other things, that Gu Jaeyeok searched the bodies of Tzuyang's agency staff or threatened them over matters related to Tzuyang to demand money.
Meanwhile, Gu Jaeyeok was sentenced to three years in prison in both the first and second trials on charges of extorting money by threatening Tzuyang. After appealing the second-trial ruling, Gu is now awaiting a Supreme Court decision.
