On Friday the 6th, most areas nationwide will see rain or snow.
Rain and snow will continue in the Seoul metropolitan area until dawn and in most other regions until around noon, then gradually stop from the afternoon.
Heavy snow is expected to accumulate in the Gangwon mountains. Expected snowfall is 5–10 cm in the Gangwon mountains, with more than 15 cm in some places. Northeastern Gyeonggi will see 2–7 cm, inland Gyeonggi 1–5 cm, and Seoul, Incheon, and the Gyeonggi west coast 1–3 cm.
Expected precipitation is 5–20 mm in Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi; Daejeon, Sejong, and South Chungcheong; North Chungcheong; Gwangju and South Jeolla; North Jeolla; the southern coast and western inland of South Gyeongsang; and Jeju Island.
Visibility may be reduced and roads may become slippery due to rain and snow, so use caution for traffic safety. In Gangwon, where heavy snow is forecast, prepare for potential damage to facilities such as livestock sheds and vinyl greenhouses.
Morning lows are forecast at 28.4–48.2°F (−2–9 C), and daytime highs at 39.2–55.4°F (4–13 C). Morning temperatures will be higher than average, but daytime temperatures will be similar to or slightly lower than average.
From the afternoon, high seas warnings are expected to be issued mainly for the open sea, and on the East Sea coast be cautious of swells for the time being.
