On Thursday the 5th, it will gradually become cloudy from late afternoon, with rain or snow forecast for most areas nationwide.
Expected precipitation is 5–20 mm for Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi; Daejeon, Sejong and South Chungcheong; North Chungcheong; Gwangju and South Jeolla; North Jeolla; and the South Gyeongsang south coast and western inland.
In particular, heavy snow is expected in the Gangwon mountains. Expected snowfall is 5–10 cm in the Gangwon mountains (15 cm or more in some areas) and 3–8 cm in the central and northern inland of Gangwon.
In the central region, most precipitation will stop between 9 a.m. and noon on the 6th, and in the southern region between noon and 6 p.m. Some areas of Gangwon Province may see rain and snow continue until late at night.
Morning lows are forecast at -3 to 6 degrees, with daytime highs of 11 to 16 degrees.
Waves will run 0.5–2.0 meters on the East Sea offing and 0.5–1.0 meters on the West and South Sea offings. Offshore waves (the offshore area within about 200 km of the coastline) are expected at 1.0–2.5 meters in the East Sea and 0.5–1.5 meters in the West and South seas.
