A well-known variety show producer is standing trial on charges of forcibly molesting a junior colleague at work.
According to legal sources on the 27th, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors Office indicted variety show producer A without detention on the 24th on a charge of forcible molestation.
A is accused of making unwanted physical contact with junior colleague B in the early morning of Aug. 15 last year while they were working together on a variety program.
Earlier, police acknowledged that there had been physical contact but decided not to refer the case, saying there was insufficient evidence to prove intent to molest.
Prosecutors are said to have substantiated the charge by reviewing CCTV footage showing B pushing A away and leaving the scene.
