Seo Kyung-duk, a professor at Sungshin Women's University, said on the 27th on social media (SNS), an internet user tipped me off, and added that a photo of Kim Gu uploaded to TikTok was mocked with, "What is this face? Is this even a person?"
He went on to note that a photo of Lee Wan-yong, a representative pro-Japanese figure, was praised with the caption, "Wow, look at the aura, I almost peed my pants."
He said, it is truly regrettable that this is happening ahead of Independence Movement Day, and added that when asked, experts said legal punishment for such content is not easy.
He added, if you come across such content, the most important thing is to ensure it cannot be surfaced through users' active reports, and said campaigns to protect the honor of independence activists will continue to be carried out.
