An active-duty police officer in Jeju is under investigation on suspicion of forcibly molesting a female worker at a nightlife bar.
According to Seogwipo Police Station in Jeju on the 27th, Officer A, in her 40s and assigned to Seogwipo Police Station, has been booked on suspicion of forcible molestation.
Officer A is suspected of molesting a female worker at a nightlife bar in Yeon-dong, Jeju City, at about 3:15 a.m. on the 25th.
Since 2021, Officer A had been demoted from senior patrol officer to patrol officer as a disciplinary measure for offenses including habitual domestic assault and dining and drinking without paying.
After being disciplined and reinstated, A is said to have reoffended within a month.
