Police are currently investigating a mass food poisoning incident that occurred late last month at the on-site cafeteria of Yonsei University's Sinchon Severance Hospital, sources said on the 25th.
The Seodaemun Police Station in Seoul said it is currently investigating the case on suspicion of violating the Food Sanitation Act.
Police are examining closed-circuit (CC) TV footage and more to determine the exact sequence of events, and the case is under investigation.
The Seodaemun Public Health Center received a report on the 2nd that many employees at Severance Hospital were showing symptoms such as nausea and diarrhea, and conducted an on-site inspection.
Food poisoning cases reportedly began appearing on the 29th of last month.
However, because it occurred at a cafeteria used by employees, there were reportedly no patients or visitors among the victims.
