Police launched an investigation after a report that a teacher at the National Assembly daycare center abused a child.
According to police on the 24th, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul is currently investigating former National Assembly daycare center teacher A on suspicion of violating the Child Welfare Act.
A is suspected of grabbing and throwing a child who was standing in line in front of the daycare cafeteria on the 20th. There was also a claim that such conduct was repeated over several days, not just once.
The National Assembly Secretariat became aware of the matter and reportedly removed A from duty.
Under the National Assembly daycare center's operating rules, eligible entrants must have at least one parent who is a National Assembly civil servant or is involved in National Assembly-related work.
