Fire authorities issued level 1 response, which deploys all personnel from the jurisdictional fire station, at about 7:34 p.m. the same day and are working to contain the blaze. At about 8:32 p.m., they raised it to level 2, mobilizing adjacent fire stations. The Korea Forest Service also joined the effort.
The flames reportedly spread up to 400 meters, driven by strong winds. Currently, along the East Coast, including Goseong, gusts exceeding 90 kilometers per hour are blowing. At the scene, the wind is so strong that an adult man can barely stand.
