Entertainer Park Na-rae (41), who is embroiled in allegations that she engaged in power abuse toward former managers and took part in illegal medical practices, appeared before police.
According to police and others on the 20th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul summoned Park that day as a suspect on charges including aggravated injury and violations of the Medical Service Act and is questioning Park.
This is the first time Park has been questioned by police as a suspect. Park had initially been scheduled to appear before police on the afternoon of the 12th as the accused on charges including aggravated injury and violations of the Medical Service Act, but postponed due to on-site safety concerns and health issues.
Before this summons, police had already completed preliminary questioning of Park's former managers who filed the complaint, as well as a person surnamed Lee, known as the so-called "injection aunt," who is suspected of having performed illegal medical procedures on Park.
Previously, Park's former managers filed a complaint with the Gangnam Police Station accusing Park of aggravated injury, defamation by stating false facts, and violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection. Park's side also filed a countersuit with the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul, accusing the former managers of attempted extortion and occupational embezzlement.
