Attention is focusing on the future of "Chungju Man," Assistant Deputy Director Kim Seon-tae, who led ChungTV, the official YouTube channel of the Chungju City Hall in North Chungcheong, after news broke that Kim visited the Blue House on the 19th following his recent notice of resignation.
According to Yonhap on the 19th, Assistant Deputy Director Kim was quoted as saying regarding some media reports that the Blue House asked about hiring intentions, "I did talk (with a Blue House official), but there was no concrete offer at all."
Expressing being flustered, Kim said, "I got a text (from a Blue House official) and met at the Blue House for about 10 minutes today," adding, "It was a tea-time conversation asking about future plans and whether I am interested in public service. The nuance was that I might go to the private sector, but whether I am more interested in public service."
Regarding the possibility of Assistant Deputy Director Kim going to the Blue House, the Blue House Spokesperson said, "We cannot confirm specifics on personnel matters."
Assistant Deputy Director Kim, who submitted a resignation letter on the 13th, is on extended leave. When the leave ends on the 28th, it appears the resignation will be processed at Kim's request.
