Police are looking for the owner after a 100-don bracelet was found in the Sapaesan Tunnel in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi.
According to police on the 30th, a man reported to the Uijeongbu Police Station that he had found a gold bracelet near the Sapaesan Tunnel on the 26th of last month.
The bracelet is 100 don and, based on the current gold purchase price, is worth more than 1 billion won.
To identify the owner of the gold bracelet, police cross-checked nationwide lost-item reports and also looked into any criminal links. However, there has been no report of losing the bracelet so far, and no criminal suspicion has been found.
Under Article 11 of the Enforcement Decree of the Lost Property Act, if no owner appears within six months after the police receive the item, the finder will obtain ownership of the gold bracelet. If the finder does not claim the item within three months from the date of acquiring ownership or gives up ownership, the item will be forfeited to the national treasury.
