Singer Shin Ji, who has been openly dating singer Moon Won, will marry in May.
On the 26th, Shin Ji posted a handwritten letter on her social media (SNS) and personally shared the news of her marriage. Shin said, "I would like to formally make the most important marriage announcement of my life," adding, "Moon Won and I plan to hold our wedding in May."
In the letter, Shin said, "As we spent time together, we became closer and built trust," and added, "I'm grateful to have someone who is entirely on my side, and as we came to rely on each other, we became even stronger," expressing affection for her fiancé, Moon Won.
She continued, "I am well aware of the affectionate concern and worries of many people," and said, "Without forgetting, I will move forward step by step, keeping in sync with an unchanging, consistent attitude."
She added, "I will also work harder on my activities as singer Shin Ji going forward."
Earlier, in July last year, members of Koyote, including Kim Jong-min and Bbaek Ga, appeared together on Shin Ji's YouTube channel and revealed the couple's wedding plans.
Meanwhile, after the news of the couple's public relationship became known, Shin Ji directly revealed that Moon Won had been divorced and has a child with his ex-wife, drawing attention. Since then, various allegations surrounding Moon Won—such as a premarital pregnancy with his ex-wife, involvement in fraudulent real estate sales, and assaulting a junior during his military service—have sparked controversy, but Moon Won's side denied all of them. Shin Ji also showed unwavering trust, making it clear there was no problem in the couple's relationship.
