A human skull in a skeletal state was found along the Geum River in Sejong, and police have launched an investigation.
According to the Sejong Southern Police Station and the Sejong Fire Service Headquarters on the 25th, at about 4:21 p.m. on the 24th, a citizen passing along the Geum River waterfront in Janggun-myeon, Sejong, reported seeing a suspiciously shaped bone.
Police and 119 responders who were dispatched to the scene confirmed after forensics that it was a human skull in a skeletal state.
The location where it was found was not a path used by people and was said to be near the river.
Police said, "Nothing other than the skull has been found, and we are not conducting additional searches in the area," and noted, "We have requested DNA analysis from the National Forensic Service."
