Pastor Jun Kwang-hoon of Sarang Jeil Church, identified as the person behind the "Seoul Western District Court disturbance," was handed over to prosecutors while in custody.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Security Investigation Division said on the 22nd that Jun was sent to the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office under arrest on charges including instigating special trespass into a building.
Jun is accused of using faith to exert psychological control (gaslighting) and funding close aides and conservative YouTubers to incite the Seoul Western District Court disturbance by supporters of former President Yoon Suk-yeol on Jan. 19 last year.
On the 13th, the court issued an arrest warrant for Jun, saying there was a risk of destroying evidence and fleeing.
The day after he was arrested, Jun sought a detention review, but the court rejected it.
