A man who stabbed a security guard with a weapon at an insurance company building in Jongno District, Seoul, was arrested by police.
The Jongno Police Station in Seoul said on the 14th that it arrested a man in his 50s, identified as A, as a flagrant offender on suspicion of attempted murder for allegedly trying to kill an insurance company security guard with a weapon and is investigating.
A is suspected of stabbing a security guard, a man in his 50s, once in the waist with a weapon at about 2:30 p.m. on the 2nd floor of the Lina Life Insurance building in Cheongjin-dong, Jongno District.
A reportedly suddenly swung the weapon during a consultation regarding an insurance cancellation.
The victim was taken to a hospital and was confirmed to be conscious.
Police is under investigation into the specific circumstances based on witness statements and closed-circuit (CC) TV footage.
