Health trainer and TV personality Yang Chi-seung said he would make a fresh start as an office worker after closing his gym.
On the 12th, Yang Chi-seung posted on his social media (SNS), "A new start after 26 years. Now an office worker, not a CEO," and revealed his business card.
Regarding the company where he was hired, Yang Chi-seung said, "Our company has a 17-year track record and specializes in contracted management for apartments, shopping centers, buildings, and officetels nationwide."
He added, "We can also handle everything related to cleaning and security, outdoor advertising billboards, and apartment community services (gyms, swimming pools, breakfast service, etc.)," and said, "We will come anytime. Please contact Managing Director Yang."
After gaining fame as a trainer to celebrities, Yang Chi-seung opened a gym in a building in Gangnam District, Seoul, in 2019. However, after just over three years of operation, he was ordered to vacate by the Gangnam District Office. Unaware that the building sat on public land that a private operator had used for 20 years and then agreed to transfer through contributed acceptance to the district office, Yang Chi-seung closed the gym.
After the operator ended the lease, Yang Chi-seung said he did not get his deposit back and was instead accused of unauthorized occupation of local government property. As a result, he was reported to have suffered damage of about 1.5 billion won.
As Yang Chi-seung's story drew attention, the National Assembly's Land Infrastructure and Transport Committee called him as a reference witness for a hearing to "listen to cases of jeonse fraud occurring in social infrastructure and requests for countermeasures."
