A scene of TV personality Noh Hong-chul and Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun naturally exchanging greetings is drawing attention online.
On the 8th, a video titled "Noh Hong-chul, the first entertainer to be assigned VIP security" was posted on the YouTube channel "Noh Hong-chul."
The video shows Noh Hong-chul being appointed as an honorary security officer of the Presidential Security Service for a day at last year's Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit and then being deployed to experience the scene.
In the video, Noh Hong-chul looked around the venue and ran into Chairman Chung. Noh approached Chung and said, "Hello, hyung-nim. I came to greet you." Chung responded, "Oh, have you been well? Where are you sitting?"
Chung asked, "Where are you sitting?" Noh replied, "I'm going back and forth today because I'm working with the Presidential Security Service." When Chung encouraged him by saying, "You're doing well," Noh said, "Fighting, hyung-nim." The two exchanged a fist bump and parted.
On online communities, people reacted to the two naturally talking in a "hyung–dongsaeng" manner, saying, "Noh Hong-chul's sociability is tremendous," "Chairman Chung's everyday voice is funny," and "an unexpected pairing."
The two's connection goes back to May 2023. They once took part together in the Federation of Korean Industries' "God-saeng One Meal" program.
