With snow and rain falling in many parts of the country on Monday the 12th, drivers should watch out for traffic accidents caused by road black ice.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the likelihood of road black ice forming on roads nationwide, especially in the central region, is showing as "danger."

An official at the Korea Meteorological Administration said, "In areas where snow has recently fallen and accumulated, snow that melts during the day may refreeze overnight, creating icy roads or black ice," and urged, "Please be especially careful when driving and walking on side streets, alleys, and sloped roads."
Heavy snow advisories have been issued for inland northern Gyeonggi, inland northern Gangwon, and the mountains of Gangwon. Heavy snow of 1–3 cm per hour is expected.
