On Sunday the 11th, most parts of the country will be cold. Heavy snow will fall mainly in the Jeolla region and Jeju.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 11th, as of 6 a.m. that day, temperatures in most areas were about 5 degrees lower than normal, with Seoul at minus 8 C, Daejeon minus 6 C, Gwangju minus 3 C, and Busan minus 2 C.
Afternoon highs that day will also be lower than normal, ranging from minus 6 C to 4 C. An official at the Korea Meteorological Administration said, "Morning temperatures in most parts of the country will be low, from minus 10 C to 5 C, through the 12th, making it very cold."
Snow and rain will continue in many parts of the country, including South Chungcheong, the Jeolla region, the western inland of South Gyeongsang, and Jeju Island. Most of the rain or snow will stop in the afternoon that day, but on Jeju Island it is expected to continue through the 12th.
Expected snowfall: ▲ South Chungcheong west coast 1–5 cm ▲ central and southern North Chungcheong around 1 cm ▲ southern North Jeolla, Gwangju and South Jeolla 5–10 cm ▲ northern North Jeolla 1–5 cm ▲ Ulleung Island and Dokdo 5–15 cm ▲ Jeju 5–10 cm.
