Prosecutors have requested an arrest warrant for Pastor Jeon Kwang-hun of Sarang Jeil Church, identified as the figure behind the violent rampage at the Seoul Western District Court.
On the 8th, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office filed for an arrest warrant for Pastor Jeon that police sought the previous day. Jeon is accused of inciting the Jan. 19, 2024, storming of the Western District Court by invoking religious devotion to exert psychological control (gaslighting) and channeling funds to close aides and conservative YouTubers, among other acts, on charges including abetting special trespass into a residence and abetting obstruction of special official duties.
Meanwhile, the arrest warrant for Shin Hye-sik, head of "God's Punch," filed along with Jeon, was rejected.
