Police have formed a comprehensive task force (TF) on Coupang and are looking into 20 complaints and accusations.
An official at the Korean National Police Agency said at a regular press briefing on the 5th, "First, we are currently investigating cases that Coupang has filed and seven complaints and accusations against Coupang and related individuals."
Cases handled by the Korean National Police Agency are as follows: ▲ one case of Coupang filing a complaint over a personal information leak ▲ seven complaints and accusations over personal information leaks against Coupang and related individuals ▲ two accusations alleging violations of the National Assembly Testimony and Appraisal Act by National Assembly witnesses Bom Kim, the Coupang Inc. chair, and Park Dae-jun, former Coupang CEO ▲ three cases related to alleged overwork deaths of workers ▲ five cases related to alleged blacklist creation.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency is also investigating two cases suspected to be secondary damage from the Coupang personal information leak.
On the 1st, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency also formed an 86-member TF to comprehensively investigate allegations related to Coupang, with the investigation chief (senior superintendent general) as Head of Team.
