A foreign woman who repeatedly went to the residence of BTS member Jeong Guk and caused disturbances has been booked by police.
According to police on Jan. 4, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul booked a Brazilian woman in her 30s, identified as A, on suspicion of violating the anti-stalking law.
A is suspected of violating a restraining order prohibiting approach within 100 meters that afternoon and going to Jeong Guk's residence in Yongsan District to try to approach.
Earlier, on Dec. 13 and Dec. 28, A also went to Jeong Guk's home and was arrested on charges including housebreaking. In response, Jeong Guk's side is said to have requested a restraining order against A.
Attempts to intrude around Jeong Guk's home have continued. In November, a Japanese woman in her 50s reportedly went to Jeong Guk's house for three days and tried multiple times to open the lock. The woman was booked on suspicion of attempted housebreaking and violating the Act on Punishment of Crime of Stalking.
Also, in August, a Korean woman in her 40s trespassed into the parking lot of Jeong Guk's residence without permission and was sent to prosecutors in October on charges of housebreaking and violating the anti-stalking law. A Chinese woman in her 30s attempted housebreaking but failed and received a suspension of indictment.
Meanwhile, Jeong Guk recently drew attention after being swept up in a dating rumor with Winter of the girl group aespa.
