As "national actor" Ahn Sung-ki died on the 5th at age 74, a wave of tributes is continuing in the entertainment industry.
Singer Bae Chul-soo posted a photo taken with Ahn Sung-ki on his social media (SNS) that day and wrote, "Brother Ahn Sung-ki, who always greeted me with a bright smile whenever we met. I pray for your repose."
Actor Lee Si-eon also posted on social media a message reading, "I nurtured my dreams watching your performances as a child. I always respect you. I pray for the repose of Teacher Ahn Sung-ki," along with a photo of the deceased in life.
Actor Shin Hyun-joon likewise left a short message, "I love you, senior." Shin said, "I learned a lot working with you for the first time on the film 'The Taebaek Mountains.' A good actor is a good person."
Singer Yoon Jong-shin also paid tribute, saying, "Thank you. I really liked you. I will not forget."
Comedian Byun Ki-soo posted a still cut from "Two Cops" on Instagram and said, "There was a movie I liked so much that I watched the videotape over and over until it stretched and memorized the lines by imitating them," adding, "That is why today feels even heavier. I was truly grateful and thankful."
Meanwhile, Ahn Sung-ki's funeral will be held as a film industry funeral under the auspices of the Shin Young-kyun Arts and Culture Foundation and The Korea Film Actors Association.
