Professor Lee Yeon-ho of Yonsei University's Department of Political Science and International Studies will take office as the fifth president of the Korea Public Diplomacy Association. The term runs for one year starting Jan. 1, 2026.
The Korea Public Diplomacy Association is a multidisciplinary academic society founded in 2020 to academically analyze and support the trend of diplomacy expanding beyond government-centered activities to a wide range of fields—civil society, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), local governments, corporations, and culture and the arts—following the enactment of the Public Diplomacy Act in 2016.
Lee is an authority in political economy and development, international development cooperation, and EU integration. At Yonsei University, Lee served as dean of the College of Social Sciences, head of external affairs, and director of the Institute of East and West Studies, and currently heads the Yonsei–Jean Monnet EU Center.
