Five members of a family were found dead at their residences in Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang, and police have launched an investigation.
According to the Gyeongsan Police Station on the 28th, at about 11:15 a.m. that day, five members of a family were found dead at two apartments in Seobu-dong, Gyeongsan.
The deceased are a person surnamed A, in their 40s, A's spouse B, in her 40s, their elementary school–aged son C, in his teens, and A's parents D, in their 70s, and E, a woman in her 60s.

Police said they received a report from an acquaintance of A who said, "I received a text message from A expressing despair about personal circumstances and asking to take care of things," and officers then responded and checked the family death scenes in sequence.
According to police, no signs of external intrusion or homicide have been found so far.
No suicide note was found. It was reported that circumstances remained at the scene indicating that A took their own life.
A police official said, "It is not yet a situation where we can conclude what caused this," adding, "We plan to conduct forensics on the victims' cellphones and perform autopsies to determine the exact circumstances."
