The Korea meteorological Administration lifted the cold wave advisory that had been issued for all of Seoul as of 10 a.m. on the 27th. Temperatures will rise from the afternoon and return to normal levels.
According to the Korea meteorological Administration, the daytime high will be 0–8 degrees, about 5 degrees higher than the previous day (minus 6.7 degrees to plus 1.8 degrees). From the afternoon, temperatures will gradually rise and return to the seasonal average (low of minus 11 degrees to plus 1 degree, high of 1–9 degrees). On the 28th and 29th, temperatures will be higher than average.
As of 10 a.m., with a heavy snow advisory in effect along the northern Chungnam west coast, some parts of the central region are seeing snow. Centered on the northern Chungnam west coast, some areas are accumulating around 1 centimeter of snow per hour.
Snow is expected in parts of the capital area through the afternoon, and in inland and mountainous Gangwon and the Chungcheong region through the night. In northern Jeonbuk late at night, some areas will see rain or snow.
In Jeju through the afternoon, in western inland Gyeongsang through the night, and in northern Jeonbuk from afternoon to evening, some areas will see flurries of less than 0.1 centimeter.
Expected snowfall today is 1–3 centimeters in southern Incheon and southern Gyeonggi, less than 1 centimeter in Seoul, northern Gyeonggi, and the West Sea 5 Islands, around 1 centimeter in inland and mountainous Gangwon, 1–5 centimeters in Chungnam, 1–3 centimeters in Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungbuk, 1–3 centimeters in northeastern Jeonbuk, and around 1 centimeter in northwestern inland Jeonbuk.
