A sedan driven by a driver in their 70s crashed into a hamburger restaurant, injuring people who were eating lunch.
According to police and fire authorities on the 26th, at about 1 p.m. that day, in the parking lot of a hamburger restaurant in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi Province, a sedan driven by driver A, in their 70s, broke through the store's glass wall and drove inside.
Three customers who were eating in the store suffered minor leg injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital by paramedics who responded to the report. Fortunately, all of the injured were confirmed to be in non-life-threatening condition.
At the scene, no signs of alcohol were detected from driver A. Police believe it is highly likely the accident occurred when A, while attempting to park, mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake due to driver error, and they are investigating the exact cause of the accident.
