Russian President Vladimir Putin was reported on the 24th (local time) to have received a briefing on talks with the United States, including a Ukraine peace plan. Putin is expected to consolidate and announce a position based on this.
According to Russian local media reports including TASS and RIA Novosti, Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that day, "U.S. envoy Kirill Dmitriev informed President Putin of all the details of the business trip's results."
Envoy Dmitriev met with U.S. figures including Steve Witkoff, special envoy to U.S. President Donald Trump, and his son-in-law Jared Kushner in Miami, Florida, on the 20th–21st, and discussed a Ukraine peace plan and other issues.
Spokesperson Peskov said, "Russia will determine its position based on the reported information and will continue contacts (with the United States) as soon as possible through all possible channels." However, he did not disclose the details that Putin received in the briefing.
The Kremlin also refused to comment on the latest 20-point end-of-war proposal that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said was discussed with the United States. However, it said the U.S. side understands the key elements of Russia's position well.
