A woman who went on a rampage by spraying a fire extinguisher at a cafe in Gangnam District, Seoul, was taken into custody by police.
The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul said on the 24th that a woman in her 20s, identified as A, is under preliminary investigation before booking on suspicion of obstructing business.
A is suspected of entering a Starbucks store in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam District, at around 6 p.m. on the 23rd and going on a rampage by spraying a powder fire extinguisher she had with her.
A voluntarily accompanied responding officers. About 70 people, including cafe customers, evacuated at the time, but there were no casualties.
No signs of alcohol consumption or drug use were found for A.
Police plan to question A in detail about the motive and circumstances of the crime.
