TV personality Park Na-rae (40), who halted activities over allegations of power abuse against a manager, underwent her first police questioning.
According to police and others on the 23rd, Park Na-rae recently appeared at Yongsan Police Station and was questioned as the complainant in connection with her accusation of attempted extortion against a former manager. Yongsan Police Station is said to have completed questioning the former managers who were accused.
Park Na-rae is also reported to have additionally filed accusations against the former managers for embezzlement under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes.
Park Na-rae has not yet appeared at Gangnam Police Station for questioning. Gangnam Police Station is investigating allegations against Park Na-rae of aggravated assault, defamation, and violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation).
In addition, no questioning has been conducted in the case filed by former Korean Medical Association Organization President Lim Hyun-taek accusing Park Na-rae and "Injection Auntie" A of illegal medical practice.
Previously, Park Na-rae's former managers filed a complaint alleging workplace bullying, verbal abuse, and nonpayment of event expenses. Park Na-rae filed a countersuit, saying the former managers demanded an amount equivalent to 10% of the company's previous year's revenue.
As allegations of power abuse and illegal medical procedures mounted, Park Na-rae said on the 8th that she decided to suspend her broadcasting activities.
