On the 23rd, when sales began for Sungsimdang's winter season limited product "Strawberry Siru," a waiting line more than 200 meters long formed around Jungangno Station, causing heavy congestion. In particular, crowds hoping to buy the large Strawberry Siru, available only at the main store, stretched past nearby shops, proving its overwhelming popularity.
Starting that day, Sungsimdang began selling the large Strawberry Siru (2.3 kg) for 49,000 won at the Cake Boutique main store. The relatively smaller size, "Youngest," is priced at 43,000 won, and the Strawberry Seolgi, available at all stores, is set at 52,000 won. This series is sold only in person, and no reservations are accepted.
For popular items, the purchase quantity may be limited per person, and the number of items sold may vary depending on ingredient supply. Because it sells out every year, there are already cases on secondhand platforms where items are traded with a markup. Sungsimdang recommended checking the day's sales quantity and any limits in advance.
The Sungsimdang Siru series is a flagship product that draws nationwide attention every winter for its overwhelming visuals, generously topped with fresh seasonal strawberries. This year as well, an "open run" formed even before stores opened on the first day of sales, and the line extended all the way to downtown Eunhaeng-dong, reaffirming its status as a Daejeon specialty.
