Barun Law LLC (Managing Partners Lee Dong-hoon, Lee Young-hee and Kim Do-hyung) said on the 15th it has hired foreign attorney Hong Seung-jin for legislation and regulatory response, and attorney Jin Hye-in (5th bar exam) for finance.
Foreign attorney Hong Seung-jin graduated from the Korea University law school and passed the higher civil service exam in 1991, joining the Ministry of Government Legislation as a Deputy Director. Hong graduated from Columbia Law School in the United States in 2002 and later served as public legislation officer at the Ministry of Government Legislation, head of the User Legal Information Division at the Statutory Interpretation and Information Bureau, and Spokesperson. Hong also served as a management evaluation committee member for public institutions at the Ministry of Economy and Finance. At Lee & Ko, Hong provided legislative consulting advice for 14 years from 2011 to major domestic and overseas corporations and associations, organizations, government agencies, and public corporations.
Barun said that with Hong's hire, it has strengthened professional capabilities in legislative consulting services together with Managing Partner Lee Young-hee and adviser Lee Yong-jun, who served as head of the National Assembly Legislative Office and as a senior expert committee member.
Attorney Jin Hye-in graduated from the department of economics at Seoul National University and the Korea University law school (law school). Jin joined Barun after working at BAE, KIM & LEE LLC and Yulchon, on the alternative investment team at Daol Asset Management, and at Dentons Lee.
Jin has handled investment structure design, project financing, licensing and regulatory advisory, contract negotiations and dispute response for projects such as large-scale real estate development, tourism and leisure complexes, and complex cultural and arena developments. From 2021 to 2022, Jin worked on actual fund raising and management at an asset management company's alternative investment team.
