Police conducted a fifth search and seizure of Coupang, which caused a massive personal data leak.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Cyber Investigation Division said it resumed a search and seizure of Coupang's headquarters office in Songpa District at 9:30 a.m. on the 13th, mobilizing six investigators.
Police have continued search and seizure operations on Coupang for five days since the 9th. It is believed to be taking a long time to secure materials because the volume of digital data is vast.
Based on the materials obtained through the search and seizure, police plan to track the whereabouts of a former employee of Chinese nationality suspected of leaking personal information, while also examining technical vulnerabilities in Coupang's internal management system.
